Professional

Jan is a professional licensed Massage Therapist by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, License #MSG000676 since 2011. She has been a Professional Member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) since 2002 and has held several volunteer positions within the organization at the Unit and State levels.

Jan graduated from the Pittsburgh School of Massage Therapy (PSMT) in 2001 after which she became an independent contractor of massage in local spas, hair salons, palates studio and wellness center. In 2006 she decided to become a sole practitioner of massage therapy and opened a studio in her home in Wexford. She is also an instructor at PSMT.

Personal

Jan was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After graduating high school, she began her financial career with Mellon Bank. Feeling independently wealthy, she traveled to Florida, Canada, Hawaii, Colorado and London. Over the next 27 years with Mellon Bank, she advanced from clerical typist to Assistant Trust Officer/Supervisor. Jan married David Dreher in 1978. Her first son was born in 1982; her second son arrived in 1983 and son number three completed the family in 1989.

After experiencing a sense of peace and well-being after her first massage, Jan enrolled in a weekend course, "Massage for Friends and Family" at PSMT. She enjoyed the class tremendously, and after much soul-searching and prayer, Jan left the financial world and enrolled as a full time student at PSMT and has never looked back!!
